At our site in Hilden, the focus of specialisation is on the production of hormone tablets and sachets of pharmacy and prescription drugs for human and veterinary use. On behalf of the Aristo Pharma Group and on behalf of our international partnerships in third-party business, we now export to more than 50 countries worldwide.
We accompany every product from its beginnings in formulation and development, through final production and testing, to shipping. We also take over the complete life-cycle management of the products we manufacture.
First and foremost, our highly qualified employees, many of whom have been with Lindopharm for many years, are crucial to our success. With their expertise and our modern facilities and advanced laboratory equipment, we are ideally positioned for complex tasks and novel challenges.
Our role within the Aristo Pharma Group
Aristo Pharma was founded in 2008 from the merger of various traditional German pharmaceutical companies, some of whose roots go back to 1875.
Today, Aristo Pharma’s core business is the production of sought-after active substances in the generics market – these usually marketed under its own brand. The independent production sets the group apart from most German pharmaceutical suppliers. Besides this, the broad range of prescription and over-the-counter medicines extends from tried-and-tested herbal medicines to modern medical products and aids.
The composition of the Aristo Pharma Group is as diverse as its product portfolio: In addition to the company headquarters in Berlin and our logistics centre in Osterweddingen, our group comprises a total of five production sites – in Hilden, Wernigerode, twice in the German capital Berlin and in Madrid. This makes Aristo Pharma stand out as one of the few providers in Germany that manufacture their medicines predominantly in Germany or Europe.
Together with the 13 distribution sites throughout Europe, the company can draw on the expertise of around 1,650 employees. They all make a valuable contribution to the success of the Aristo Pharma Group’s mission: the reliable and affordable supply of high-quality medicines.
Lindopharm has been an integral part of the Aristo Pharma Group from the very beginning: in 2008, the Hilden-based company joined forces with the pharmaceutical manufacturers Pharma Wernigerode and Steiner Arzneimittel to form a group of companies. Today, the Hilden site specialises in the production of thyroid hormone tablets and sachets containing granules and powders in all standard market sizes – including comprehensive pharmaceutical services.

Our history
In 1947, Lindopharm KG is created in Hilden from a department of the pharmaceutical wholesaler von der Linde as an independent company for the production of pharmaceuticals.
20 years later, the company moves from Fritz-Gressard-Platz to its current location in Neustraße.
In 1994, the company moved into the newly built production building, where liquids were also produced and bottled.
At the beginning of the 2000s, the modernisation of the site is consistently pursued: The first high-speed sachet filling line comes into operation from 2003.
In 2007, the administration building and the warehouse are rebuilt. With the accompanying restructuring, Lindopharm specialises in sachet and hormone products. Contract manufacturing gains in importance.
In 2008, Lindopharm merges with Steiner Arzneimittel and Pharma Wernigerode to form Aristo Pharma.
Between 2009 and 2010, the laboratory and the hormone department will be expanded and brought up to the state of the art.
In 2022, investments will be made in a completely renewed building management system: The resulting automated control of ventilation systems, for example, will lead to significant energy savings. At the same time, machines were successively renewed and measures for more efficient energy use were advanced.
